New Organizer says Howdy and summons all to meetup!

Howdy, y'all. Just as I was logging into Meetups to see about attending my very first meeting of this group, I saw that its original organizer had either been abducted by string cheese aliens or fallen prey to Angelus during one of his bad days. I decided to step up and assume the position...uh...as this group seems like such a good idea--a place to meet like-minded souls. The soulless are also welcome, but please, no biting.
What I would like, if you would, is for any of you who would actually like to meet to respond to this mail and say Yea, thus giving me an idea of whether there are enough folks to actually organize a meet or whether 'twill ne'er happen.
