Get on the Internet to get off the Internet!
You'll get invited to our Meetups as soon as they're scheduled!
“ I have dreads, and sit on the couch sippin whisky, reading Latro in the Mist by Gene Wolfe. It's Gladiator meets Memento. A Greek soldier can't keep short term memories but he sees spirits. He writes on a scroll cuz he forgets everything by morning. ”
Hello Comic Book Enthusiasts (or the comic book subculture curious),
We're coming up on the MARCH Comic book Meetup!
Come on over. You'll be glad you did. No comics knowledge needed because we have more than enough opinions to make up for it.
Bring whatever comics you like because there is a story behind every one of them and we really want to hear it. If you don't know it, we'll just make it up!
In the past I've used a GREEN theme for March but this time I think I'm expanding that to be something that celebrates the temperature rising above 35 and staying there.
How about comics about fresh starts, renewal, rites of passage, Saints who may or may not have been named Patrick, etc. You can also still bring your favorite comics in general. I promise not to bring that one Captain America Annual.
At the FEB meetup we had:
Terry, your Organizer
Thad the Cleaner
Tim the computer guy
Drunk Emailer Kevin
Green Bay Joey
Bat Michelle (with her incredibly good portfolio of inked comics art)
The Jeff...That's right, you heard me, The Jeff. What?
Loquandas of Borg
Dan the Automator
The Chicken strip rotation became the Fish and Chips rotation and we must all remember that everything is GREAT about the Seven Ten Lounge except the fries. Tater tots are life.
Are we good? Cool, then Unless anyone wants to grab a beer or something and talk comics with your organizer, I'll see yall in March.
Terry
