This comic book meetup group is a place where comics fans of all types and interests can have comics related conversation. Every month the meetup has a different theme and members are encouraged (but in no way required) to bring comics related to that theme. Making comics is usually a head-down, lonely activity and it's good to detach from the drawing table. This group's goal is to improve your skills while giving feedback to others. Monthly meetings will involve workshops and exercises, to have a little structure and make a good use of everyone's time so you can get back to the drawing board.
We're looking for readers who enjoy speculative fiction of all kinds (science fiction, fantasy, etc.). We've changed the focus of the group to Graphic Novels for the time being. We've had good luck with that genre and love it as much as other speculative fiction genres. We'll pick a book, you grab it from the library, download it, borrowit or pick it up from your favorite comics retailer, and we'll discuss it.
